It's over again............

Well the spring migration season for 2017 has just about run its course..............

Just the summer residents showing now on the river near my flat.

Like these Oriental Reed Warblers..............

Several different individuals here, there were 7 or 8 singing.

Not much else around: Black-faced Bunting, Bullheaded Shrike,Red-cheeked Starling etc, I did hear a Pheasant calling from a patch of wasteland.

It never fails to astonish me how fast the greenery grows at this time of year. I was at this place only about 8 or 9 days ago and the branches only had a few buds on them..........

Quiet time is coming locally birdingwise.....................

  2. Must have been quite delightful to have them all singing, but it is quite bittersweet to know that another spring migration has come and gone.
