A couple of trips near Tomakomai provided some shots of forest birds that are usually tricky to photograph..................Siberian Blue Robin, Japanese Thrush and Grey Bunting.
These are from nearer Hakodate..........
Some Peregrines were nesting to the west of town................
It looks as though you had a good summer. I saw Grey Buntings in Tokyo in one of the big gardens there.

ReplyDeleteThey don't breed near Hakodate. They skulk on passage in south Hokkaido too............
