Grey Friday

I had a couple of spare hours this afternoon and I could check the port at Kamiiso.................

It was a grey rainy day but at least the grebes are still there. 1 Slavonian, 3 each of Black Necked and Great Crested. The latter was a bit shy, I didn't get any shots of it..................

Slavs are generally pretty scarce but this individual has been around all winter.

It would be nice if it sticks around so I can photograph it in summer plumage.

One of the Black Necks seems to have started its moult already.............or is it just dirty?.

Scaup, Goldeneye, Tufted Duck, Pochard and Red Breasted Merganser were also in the port and White Tailed Eagle and Hawfinch were nearby.

    1. It's been a bit of an odd winter, I can only recall 1 or 2 bright clear days. Winter light is often pretty good here, but winter 2015/6 has been very grey..........
