Some Scaup



Scaup are generally the commonest winter seaduck in south Hokkaido and can often be seen in the fishing ports.............

Very dark when I took these, lens wide open and ISO 1600, not ideal for pictures.




Of course I'm busy working today and the sun is shining outside.

    1. Thay need to be on the ball to eat the fish before the gulls steal it.............

  2. Great shot of the scalp feeding. As you say they have to gulp it down to thwart the gulls.
