Some strays...................

We were out in Sawara and Shikabe this afternoon........................

On the beach at Sawara I was surprised to see 2 Grey Plover, November is very late for this species in Hokkaido................

It was a warm mild day and the snow on the mountains had all melted (it will come back soon don't worry). The plovers were as skittish as this species always seems to be................

I was even more surprised to find 2 Bewicks Swans sitting on the grass in Shikabe.

I've seen a lot of this species in 2015..................

Not much else of note. Lots of Glaucous Winged Gulls on the coast, Rook and Daurian Jackdaw at Onuma as well as 3 species of grebe (including Great Crested and Black Necked).
