Yet more autumn staples

A Black Necked Grebe at Toya yesterday and a Black Legged Kittiwake at Yakumo this afternoon..............

Black Necked Grebes are always very common on Lake Toya in this season..............one caught some kind of shrimp............

Moulting Black Legged Kittiwakes also congregate along the Pacific coast in late autumn..............

Other stuff imcluded an aduly White Tailed Eagle, growing numbers of Glaucous Gulls and a lone White Fronted Goose at Kamiiso.

I got a pic of a crapping Kittiwake, maybe one day I'll be able to publish a book of crapping birds.....................

On a related note I had to endure a colonscopy on Friday. There's only one thing worse than having a colonoscopy.................and that's being told right afterwards that you need to have another one very soon. Apparently removal of a polyps  requires an overnight stay in Japan and the clinic were I was doesn't have such facilities........................ so another 2 days of my life will shortly be blighted again by hunger, nausea and farts that can be measured on the Richter scale,

  1. Your bird "staples" would cause a commotion down here. Good Luck with the medical stuff.
