Autumn staples

Varied Tit at Onuma and Great Egret at Kamiiso, 2 common autumn birds.

Not much around, the weather was awful most of the day (and the mountain tops were draped with my first view of snow this winter). Buff Bellied Pipit at Sawara was the most noteworthy..................

  1. there is a Great Egreet in N. Ireland at present. I have not seen it as it is in the next country. Lovely shots on this post

    1. Looks like they are following in the footsteps of their Little cousins and colonizing Britain and Ireland...............this species would have been quite a rarity back when I started birding in the UK in the late 70's.

  2. Two tremendous pictures, Stu. The first pic has meaningful bokeh and a beautifully alert profile.
