Some ducks in a harbour..............

Some more pictures from Monday...................

There were about half a dozen Long Tailed Ducks in Oshamanbe. They tend to stay out in the middle of the harbour so I put the 1.4X on my lens. It was difficult to handhold in the strong bitingly cold wind......................

The light wasn't great as you can see............

All the common seaduck species were present including Black Scoter...............

Other stuff around included a couple of dolphins (no photos), 3 species of grebe including Red Necked and the usual winter gulls.....................

  1. Those Long-tailed Duck males are certainly ""different"! Well done with the captures in the strong cold wind and what looks like poor light.

  3. Good stuff again Stu, sorry to hear about the construction work but as you say with a bit of luck if the food source is still there they should re locate.
