Some of my fave shots from late winter through to the end of spring........................

 




The Gyrfalcon stayed around until the middle of April................and it may well return any day soon....................

 

 

 

 


 


There were lots of Crossbills everywhere, most of these shots were in town and all these below were taken with the 100-400L.

 Redpolls were sometimes present with the Crossbills...................





There were lots of Waxwing around all winter from mid February but I didn't get any decent shots. There was another influx of both species in April, they look strange in the soft spring light..........

 

 

In between the Gyyfalcon and Crosbill photo frenzying there were some waterbirds around..............

 

 

 

 





The wader passage was a little light in spring...............

 

 

 

After such a fantastic winter both birding and bird photography seemed to stall massively in spring. There was not much spring passage in town compared to previous years. In fact nothing worth posting here at all...................
