Wader season at last #4


On the way back from Tomakomai we stopped at Oshamanbe again. The 2 Great Knot were still there...................


The light was better than the day before. They seemed to be enjoying some Hokkaido worms............











And taking a bath too.................







Why is this species so tame?

  2. Fantastic! As you know, just seeing one here would be mega (the last one was earlier this year in Norfolk and was always far away - the first for UK was nicknamed "Great Spot"!).

    1. Red Knot are pretty scarce here altjhough not 'mega' (I've seen a couple)................
